It handles incredibly well and is a blast to drive. The back end initially looked busy and overdone but I've grown to like it. It's different yes but also doesn't look like everything else on the road. I was close to getting a 2020 GTI but it would be my 3rd one and the Civic was $7k less out the door. (It's a Sport and not the Sport Touring). I love this thing.
Enjoy!

Every time I drive this thing I'm blown away by just how...good it is to drive. It's not super fast (it's by far the slowest of my three cars), and you can definitely find faster cars for less money, but I maintain none of them will be as rewarding to drive as this car is.

The other thing about it, especially in this color, is that it doesn't LOOK like a 14 year old car that only cost $20k.

The 987 makes my 996 C4S or 996TT just feel heavy and sluggish.

It’s one of Porsche’s finest engines on their best chassis.

These aren't pics of 'my' car - but those of a few friends who I went with a drive on Saturday with lunch after in my (unfinished) shop.

Interesting collection of cars...
Four E9's and a Z1 and E28 M5 - plus the 728i (E23) that I drove....

I have a couple of pics here plus a link to some short video's that were sent to me...

Was a fun day - albeit a bit damp.

For a couple of the Coupe's - this was the first time they had been driven in anything other than sunny weather. The fella who has the dark blue one said that when he gets home that will be the first time he will wash his car after restoration about 6 or 7 years ago.

Can't wait to get my car back (hopefully towards the end of the year, beginning of 2021).

How many years did you own the E46? 13 or something?
