Wow. That’s some shade there.

Anybody else remember Bimmer Spinners? They were actually anti-spinners - whenever you parked, the roundels would always be perfectly right side up. BMW sent them a Cease & Desist even though they were buying genuine BMW caps and modifying them, "Bimmer" wasn't a trademark then and isn't now (application filed 12/31/2020, refused by examiners twice, application suspended 10/4/2021).

Bimmer Spinners via Internet Archive.

It looks great! Are the tires badly flat spotted, aged out or both?

OLD OLD OLD OLD

The rear tires are 09 dated. Fronts are somewhat newer, but still old.

It's hard to throw out tires with 80-90% tread, but it's definitely time.

Umm... We reside 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mtns National Park. We get snow here. FYI, local and state agencies love to lay down tons of salt brine if someone even thinks snow about around here. Ice is also a frequent concern. Furthermore, one really should not drive a car running summer tires in temperatures below 45°F. We were in the -teens for 4-5 days prior to Christmas ‘22. TVA had rolling blackouts because of the extreme temps. Christmas 2020 we had a white Christmas with 6-8+ inches of snow on the ground. Lastly, I do not wash cars during the winter and I do not do automatic car washes.

Edit: Mt Leconte and Newfound Gap in the Smokies had snow like a month ago. Found the date, Oct 16th, 2023.

We do not get the extremes Sean does. But we are also in the piedmont of the Georgia Blue Ridge, which means we are often below 45 in the winter. Occasional dustings of snow, ice storms, and sometimes even accumulating snow.

At any rate, there is the “south” and then there is the mountainous south…
