True that none of those is an option for 3 series and below--unless custom order. But, I do have my fancy "Sensatec" dashboard.

That depends on how long you keep your cars. I assume you don’t keep them very long. Upgraded leather feels great but wears worse over time. Same with the full leather dash.

I’m glad I had neither in my E39 M5 I had for almost 12y. Dash and seats still looked awesome.

I’ve seen the upgraded heritage leather and full leather dash be not so lucky.

Yea, fair point. Haven’t kept a car more than ~3 years in a long time but our X5 will be the exception - bought out lease and plan to keep it another few years. Do realize the leather needs a bit more maintenance to keep it looking good. Will see how it works out.

Thanks. It does look descent doesn't it with that temporary partial condom covering it.

I have a 200-mile drive home to make so I'll be busting past big rigs and other moving chicanes, testing the "recommended" break-in parameters up to the max limit whenever necessary.

Leaving everything on it for the journey home? Might as well unwrap it yourself.

Bad news. I mean really bad news. Car was damaged at some point during transport. Damage is just back of the gas panel. The detailer guy noticed it a little while ago. Cannot be PDR'd, must have rear quarterpanel removed and repainted.

Skipping trip in the morning obviously. I've asked them to put a get well plan together with time schedule, as well as diminished value discount offer after which we can discuss what happens after that.

Good thing I'm not a drinking man or I would be going off on a huge bender tonight.
