So I rented Dado's video...
...about the Gumball rally.
Man, that looks like a whole lot of no fun. Cops every ten to fifteen feet. They were driving almost solely on the freeway, getting pulled over every 30 seconds. It's pretty boring, actually. There are some nice cars. Lots of Eurotrash. Some of those guys, if I were a cop, I wouldn't stop arresting. Ever. |

I think I'd rather go for 1Lap myself. I think the Gumball is actually a bit wimpy, if you ask me...they bill it as a "race" of sorts, but there are nightly checkpoints/parties/etc. That has a certain social elite appeal to it, but I think I'd rather be involved in an all-out race from coast to coast. A real Cannonball.

That said, I'm still curious to see the mischief vids. Maybe not the Gumball one, but the other two might be entertaining.

Don't have the original Mischief, but I might get it soon. There was Mischief 3000 (the Gumball 3000 rally). Mischief Destroy (Players Run), which I didn't like very much. And the new one (Mischief Invasion) where they go to Europe. Invasion has the best video quality by-far, and I think it's the most fun. However, the cars aren't as interesting (to Americans, anyway). As Dado (or someone) said in the conclusion, Americans ran fancy European cars in the Gumball. The Europeans (in Invasion) ran Japanese cars. |
