Happened to notice that BMWNA is running an aggressive lease deal on these cars; a ~90k iX can be leased for less than a base RWD X5 now! I checked my local dealer's inventory and, sure enough, they had like 30 iXs and only 4 X5s. I guess BMW really missed the mark with this vehicle. Still, as weird as the iX is, I'd have a hard time paying more to lease a base X5. Kinda got my wheels turning to see what kind of lease deal I could score one of these, but even so, I'd have a hard time mustering the enthusiasm to bother with that.

Ha- if someone were to put a lease agreement in front of me for one of those for like $700/month 0 down, I might be tempted to just go for it. But a) such a deal is highly unlikely even given the discounts happening b) I don't care enough to even bother trying c) I'd probably regret it if for no other reason than I thought the seats kinda sucked.

There are examples on leasehackr in the 800s. Some dealers doing 9-10% discount before the $9900 lease credit. Not cheap enough to get me over the line, but would be lying if I said I had not given it any thought. As for the glut of inventory, it’s not just BMW. Just about every brand is having a hard time with EV supply/demand balance. MB is giving them away, and even Ford is starting to see inventory build on dealer lots.

I haven’t driven an iX, but my experience with the i4 and especially the i7 don’t fill me with confidence.
It would also be hard to buy or even lease an EV with such mediocre stats that doesn’t have Supercharger availability on the horizon. Plus the prices are just stupid, even with the support. Just can’t see buying this over a Mach E. |

I suppose a Mach e GT would be the closest to this In performance- my guess is that the lease prices are probably similar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
