Yes. BMW is currently the King of the Spec Racer.

Please ignore the 4000 pound M3. But look at the amazing straight line speed.

Nothing beats an EV in a straight line. It’s everything else.

I mean DCTs are "better" by any objective measure.

But yet I don't get much enjoyment from driving them (on the street).

Exactly.

This is why I can understand heavily track-focused cars coming only with DCT (RS cars, for example).

Good Article, thanks for posting.

Mine just keeps growing on me more and more. I was pretty uncomfortable with the idea of owning a Porsche and didn't love my previous experiences with boxsters, but the car I got has become something we really enjoy. I expect we will keep it for a long time. I don't have any interest in upgrading to anything "more". The base .2 car is plenty for me.
Still thinking of wrapping it in the spring. We picked a color
I can't format the pictures to the right size, but its Inozetek Metallic Racing Green:

Here are some pics of it on an M2:

Here is a C8 getting wrapped:

And here it is on a V8V:

Assuming all is good in April when we pull it out of storage, we'll have it done as soon as we get it home.

Now that’s a green I could get on board with.

Still prefer Python tho

(Although python works better on boxsters and caymans, I think)

Wraps are horrible and I would never do it again (my red E46 coupe was partially wrapped) but that's an awesome color.
