I don't know if these things are more or less standard in size, but the engine hoist arm was like 8" shorter than ideal. And I had a jack stand in a really annoying spot that I didn't realize was going to be a problem until the engine was dangling like 5' in the air - on a harbor freight hoist.

Overall, getting it out wasn't too bad. We spent a lot of that time stripping it down pretty bare while it was still in the car. Hopefully re-installing won't be a total nightmare.

It will be, but what's another six or seven years?
