A number of the reviews I've watched mention it having fairly poor ride quality. That bummed me out.

The "Preformance" version is $10K more. Then to get the lowered suspension, 20" wheels and upgraded brakes you have to pay another 5k.
(Edit: It seems no one can even confirm what comes in which of these packages ) The regular AWD seems like the sweet spot. But, the performance versions are shipping faster so it will still maximize the chance of the $7,500 tax credit. But there's also a $2k NY state tax credit that I'll lose if I get the Performance package because it exceeds the $50k base price requirement. Last edited by rumatt; 08-11-2018 at 04:31 PM. |

You’re probably right on “normal” awd being the right play, but the Performance is the only one that tempts me.

Upgrading would cost me $8250 or $12,000 depending on whether the non-performance version would arrive before Jan 1. |

The sales guy drive first. After driving a few mins he came to a stop and said, "I'm going do full acceleration now. I recommend putting your head back against the headrest before I start"
He wasn't exaggerating either. It feels even more intense when in the passenger seat for some reason. Pretty sure I'm getting one. Not only is it fun that is actually usable on the street, but traffic in and out of New York City has been frustrating me lately. I think this car will be more pleasant to drive in stop and go traffic. |
