Mercedes-Benz All-Terrain

I did not know about this. A hybrid All-Terrain is a distinct possibility for us in the future other than it is probably going to be very expensive. Better than a hybrid SUV.

Cool. There will be some interesting vehicles in the near future.

For the record, I agree with C&D that the wagon looks better and more elegant sans plastic cladding, but in today's world, I'm glad they even offer it all. Also, I assume that this hybrid system is similar to that of the GLC in allowing a couple/few tens of miles of electric-only range.

Us? Nope. And if we had to, we'd take the LR4. I am just happy because it is a nice, roomy wagon with a hydrid drivetrain.

I understand your point, FC. It is great they are offering a hybrid wagon in any form, but I also agree with the others that these 'all road/all terrain / cross country' versions of wagons to cater to the U.S. market just suck. Give me a normal sedan based wagon with a good powertrain, please, please, please.

I would agree. I'd be happy with the traditional wagon with the hybrid platform. Maybe in black it doesn't suck so much.

you guys actually want hybrids? Seems like a band-aid to me with a bunch of complexity. I want gas or all electric.

We either do very short trips (wife's commute, school stuff, nearby errands) or very long trips (away soccer games, family trips).

If anyone offered an all-electric wagon with decent cargo, I'd be in for that. I don't see all-electric wagons arriving, well, ever.

Until then, this makes more sense than an IC vehicle or hybrid SUV. IC vehicles are a PITA for us with all the short trips. This was what we liked the most about the eGolf.

My vet has an electric B class--I think a W246--and loves it. He is a total car nut. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_B-Class
