This…

Depending what month it was built in Germany it might have seen snow before.

It was in Texas presumably during the bad snow storm in early 2021.

True. The plan is for it to see snow. But hopefully I can avoid nasty weather and can just drive it on mostly cold days.

I should have mentioned that my wife REALLy likes it. Loves the interior, the seats, how quiet it is, etc. I took it for a short drive. Apparently P-Zeros really hate the cold.

Yep… from weather.gov, “San Antonio picked up 4-7 inches, with some isolated higher totals.”

@FC: will you do the blackstone analysis on oil and gearbox fluid?

I am still very curious about how the M cars hold up and you’re an ideal person to ask, because you like to do the analytics.

Absolutely! I plan on doing the same for all cars going forward. So far I've only been doing the LR4 (6 years now - since it went off warranty and I stopped using the specified unobtanium Castrol). But since the 718 and Mini and forever cars I might as well start tracking those. The M5 I will do because "the only" real achilles of that car appears to be worn connecting rod bearings, and one of the best ways to know before it goes boom is if you notice copper in the oil. So yes.

At that point, I might as well start doing oil analysis on the GTI as well since hopefully it will stay in the family forever.
