Yeah, I’m really not a fan of the black wheels on these, but to the extent they work it’s only on bright colors.

I know there are aventurine partisans on the board, too, but that’s also not my bag. I really wish they’d made something like Brewster available.

I usually like Aventurine, but that is not the case with this car. It is either the black wheels, Cayman body style or both. It definitely looks better on a Boxster or a 992, both with silver wheels.

Aventurine is awful IMO. Black wheels are also awful. Put the two together and, um, it's not good. But to each their own!

The color palette for the 718s just kinda sucks to be honest. It's not a trendy color anymore but the blue from Josh's 987 is gorgeous. I would have bought that in a second.

Not a fan of black wheels either - seems like a trend that is due to end soon (how long has it been going on now?). I noticed that dealers (across many brands) still tend to spec black wheels when available for inventory cars. I’m indifferent to aventurine green - it’s fine but I do wish they’d offer a more classic green as JST suggested ((without having to pay PTS prices)

Agreed that Aventurine + black wheels is a BAD combo. Aventurine is a subdued, elegant color. I can see a 911 cabrio with a tannish interior working well.

I believe prior to 2016. That year sticks out as I remember BMW offering black 20” M Sport wheels on the F15 X5 when I ordered mine in March 2017.

I think in the perfect light it looks okay. 90% of the time it looks gray or like the color the inside of an avocado turns when it's starting to rot.
