Yeah, I’m really not a fan of the black wheels on these, but to the extent they work it’s only on bright colors.
I know there are aventurine partisans on the board, too, but that’s also not my bag. I really wish they’d made something like Brewster available. |

Aventurine is awful IMO. Black wheels are also awful. Put the two together and, um, it's not good. But to each their own!
The color palette for the 718s just kinda sucks to be honest. It's not a trendy color anymore but the blue from Josh's 987 is gorgeous. I would have bought that in a second. |

Agreed that Aventurine + black wheels is a BAD combo. Aventurine is a subdued, elegant color. I can see a 911 cabrio with a tannish interior working well.

I think in the perfect light it looks okay. 90% of the time it looks gray or like the color the inside of an avocado turns when it's starting to rot.
