Hope it feels like new and you can figure out whether to keep it or do something else on your own schedule.

Customer concern was verified, vehicle was towed in and was stuck in 4th gear. Shift cables were disconnected and transmission was able to be put in neutral by prying on the gear selector.

When moved into gear, transmission would get stuck again. Noise dampening pan removed, Cover removed, Air cleaner removed, Battery removed, starter removed, Battery ground strap loosened, Battery console removed, 2 Wiper arm removed, 2 Cowl panel trim removed, 2 Wheels removed, 2 Front wheel housing liners removed, 2 Driveshafts loosened, Clutch slave cylinder loosened, Deflector plate removed, transmission fluid was drained, Bracket loosened, Support removed, Transmission support removed, cooling fans removed, charge pipe was removed. Transmission was then disassembled, front locking differential was removed from the transmission, transmission case was split apart. Input and output shafts were removed along with all shift forks. Found multiple worn synchro rings as well as worn bearings. Per TAC the complete transmission assembly was to be replaced. Transmission assembly was replaced, required transmission components were converted to the new assembly, including locking front differential. Vehicle was reassembled in reverse order, Transmission oil inspected, 2 Shift cables adjusted, Clutch system bled. Vehicle was then road tested, vehicle is now shifting as intended.
Hope they put everything back correctly

I’m going to guess that they just stopped when they saw it was fucked. Once something fails and spits metal everywhere, you get a lot of damage.

The annotation in the file though suggests a full rebuild. Instead of just a new transmission.

Which is “fine” and I’m sure the work is warrantied.
