I actually really like that -- looks good with the black trim. Been in a green car mood recently... I woudn't pay PTS prices but I kinda like the idea of a Boxster in this color:

The local dealer actually had a pretty good selection of comps on hand (though still no shark blue)--leather interior GTS, RaceTex interior GTS w/GTS package, base Cayman with no leather interior (just leather seats), and GTS 4.0 with Bordeaux/black leather.
All else equal, I think the leather interior is the right call. Not entirely sure about RaceTex v. leather seat centers, but leaning toward RaceTex just because it's a bit more interesting. Guards red continues to be not as nice as Carmine, but Carmine continues to be not worth the upcharge. |

The only options I am considering are: Interior: -Espresso -Full black leather -Full black leather with deviated stitching Exterior: -White -Shark (would only consider with black leather) -GT Silver (would only consider with Espresso) But I still wonder if I should go with fuzz. |

Not really understanding what the appeal of racetex is?
It'll" -be sweatier in the summer than leather, -look worse unless you really stay on top of cleaning/maintaining it -make getting in and out of the car more annoying because you'll "stick" to the seats -look odd with so much of the interior is covered in it. A bit like an 80s American car slathered with "plush velour". |

Yeah, I think white or GT silver with espresso would be pretty sharp. Don't sleep on either of those with black/bordeaux, though--the red interior is pretty nice. Really wish I could see a shark car in person, but I agree black is the only color that works there. Deviated stitching looks cool but I just can't bring myself to think it's worth it. |

I hope we're all still on this forum when you guys replace these cars. I have no predictions what you'll replace them with, though.

Just saw they have a Shark Blue 911 and a Cayman GTS with "red and black" interior at my local dealer. Will check it out today/tomorrow.

Tried out sitting in RaceTex/full GTS and full leather today. The latter is the way to go, I think. RaceTex is nice on the trim panels but just doesn’t work as well on the seats.
Waiting to hear FCs reaction to shark blue, but as of now leaning toward guards red/leather. |
