Just looked at the preliminary results.

Hey, there were 5 cars slower than me! WooHoo!

WTG rumatt with the 1st in class.

That TVR was just plain mean out there. Chewed up the place like an angry junkyard dog.

Watching that guy drive that car on course is certainly an experience.

By the way, that guy switch cars at the half way point, and did his afternoon runs in the red S2000. He was the one who hit so many cones. I think it was 10 on one run, then 6 on the next two (each!). I had to hold the start every time he ran while you poor bastards ran to pick up cones . I guess the s2000 turns in more quickly than his TVR, and he wasn't even close to being able to make the adjustment.

I thought I learned my lesson about downshifting into 1st at the Atlanta Tour… but no, I had to do it again in Oscoda at the ProSolo… thinking for sure, this tight turn definitely needs 1st gear to pull me out of it. I am convinced, that downshifting to 1st at the Oscoda ProSolo cost me a 1st or 2nd place finish. My times on Sunday, in the wet, holding 2nd gear proved it to me.

Please learn from my own stupid mistake.

If any of you guys ever see me downshifting again, I give you the ok to knock me upside the head with a torque wrench!!

One thing to remember is that if you're not taking a good line through the corner, or overcooking it entirely, then you will have less speed and 1st gear becomes even more tempting.

Exactly!!

It’s the combination of holding 2nd gear and taking a little wider line through the turn.

You're fucking kidding me. That was the same dude? I was thinking it must have been an overaggressive newb.

I probably sweated out a gallon chasing that bastard's molested cones! I'm still sore today!

(I'll throw in a little self-congratulatory note that I was the only one at my station showing any consistent hustle. The rest of 'em were like Manny Ramirez admiring the ball whilst shuffling casually to 1st.)

It really sucks that the camera stopped working yesterday before my spins. Talk about overcooking a corner. Decreasining radius, downhill right hander...just a little bit out of control...wwwWWWHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAA AAAAHHHHHHHH

shit

Start moving again (yes, I shifted down to first for this), turn it back onto course, through two close offsets, shifting to second midway between them, uphill left to the finish light...hang it out just a touch too much and wwwWWWHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH HH
to the left and through the lights.

shit
