that's awesome, Fil!

i had a great buy there as well (as you know).

likely getting a 335i myself when i turn the 1er over.

given the residuals on them, it's a no brainer if there is nothing else compelling in the market.

Sounds great ... I can't beleive what a great deal that is ... I would think the price would be $800 a month for that car for 27 months.

I've driven plenty of N54s in just about every model, but don't have much seat time in the N55. I'll let you know what I think after I have the chance to put some miles on it. I think I'll be happy with it even if it doesn't have the same grunt as the N54, purely based on the fact that it will have much more power than the MINI that I'm coming out of.

in back to back driving i didn't feel a tremendous difference in power which made it okay to get a 2011 instead of scouring the country for a leftover 2010.

although i made it through the winter just fine with snow tires, you'll have that lack of anxiety on snow days with the xi drivetrain.

i'm going to need your input when it comes time for me to decide between 335i and 335xi.

I originally ordered the stock 17" wheels with all-seasons that come standard with the M-Sport Package, but decided to go with the 18" wheels and performance tires and then get some snows for the winter. The former would have been an "acceptable" setup in the winter, but the later should make it a very competent winter vehicle and it'll also look better during the other 3 seasons when it doesn't have tiny wheels on it.

17" are standard?!?!??

I agree with you for sure.

The nice thing about wheels and tires for 3ers is that you can always unload them for decent money if you change cars later.

XDrive with snow tires is excellent!

But I still come back to those words. You're just not qualified to use that phrase: "my endless debating."

Clyde, saw a grey over brown 5.0 at FedEx today with the Brembo package. Looked slick. At first I thought maybe you'd decided to surprise us all...
