Yep. I planned the trip for her birthday. We started yesterday driving from PA through NJ, NY, CT, MA, VT, NH and into the West side of Maine (Rangeley) specifically to find Moose. We saw 4 today, including a Bull that we followed for 1/4 mile just strolling down the road. We did 600+ miles yesterday and felt fine when we got to our destination. This morning we got up at 4:45am to 'see' the sunrise up a 3 mile pocked up dirt road to the top of a 3000ft mountain. After navigating to the top, we got socked in with fog, but we got there.

We're in Portland now, and are spending a couple of days in the South Coast region, whale watching, beaching and eating seafood. Tuesday afternoon we're heading up to Acadia for 3 days. Finishing the week at Rockland for dinner at Primo's, a pretty cool little farm to table place.

Back to the the car topic, building off SCA's M2 thread, the 1er is the best all arounder I've ever owned. Its not an ultimate 'sports car' by any means, or a roomy comfortable family car, but it's puppy dog fun, its a great daily driver, it is a really solid GT car for road trips, with a perfect amount of room for 2 people and a ton of stuff, it is super easy to live with convertible.... on and on. I just love it. Its got 132K miles now. I am dreading trying to figure out what I'm going to replace it with when it finally gets too old to keep up with.

I really love this little car, definitely the best one Ive ever owned.

We got up at 5am to go to the summit of Quill Hill and watch the sunrise. The fog was so thick we could barely see 20yds ahead. We went back up at 11 and the view was a little better
Wonderful!

Start looking now for a manual 2 series. Won’t be as great, but not too shabby and some improvements you may appreciate.

Here is my car with little bits of this dude’s Audi embedded. This guy doesn’t have a license, doesn’t have insurance, and is driving his girlfriend’s car with out of state temp tags.

So, cool.
