I just can't believe that it took ~20 years and 3 generations to go from a ~4,000lb E39 to a ~4,350lb F90, and one gen to jump 1,000lb and they are only adding 100hp.

There will be the standard obsequious comments about how it feels lighter than it is.
The M2 comments and M3 xDrive comments all fall along this line of motoring journalist logic. My advice? Don’t buy one new. Wait for depreciation since it always nails BMWs. And then get it if it appeals to you. At this price level (M5) I don’t know how you’re not looking sideways at the RS6 avant or the Panamera or the E63 wagon.
