Congrats to FC & JV... Exciting. I'm overseas so have been a bit late to respond.

Love the folding mirrors on my 981S (I live in a tight area, occasional squeezing by, and even though it is garaged 99.99% of the time, I like the visual reminder that the car is locked)

I also like the steering wheel & driver's seat moving to make way. It does help, especially if your old garage is narrow and the door can't swing out all the way.

Matt Farrah in his new Spyder. His first one sink on the carrier. He had the factory engine yanked prior to delivery to him on the West coast. A know builder installed a 4.5. I cannot recall whom the builder was. Anyways… a recent pic of the car taken by Magnus Walker.

DeMan is the name of the builder; he’s also known for re-gearing the transmissions to make the middle gears shorter. Everyone raves about it, and iirc FC was considering it.

Seems like quite a package. The red seats would not be my choice with that color, but it’s certainly distinctive.

Yes! Thanks… I could not recall whom it was for the life of me.

* Edited: The exterior color is not to my liking, so it would never be a consideration.

It’s great news. Thanks for sharing the updates with us.

I'll need to wait at least a year to settle into the new car before I consider such things, but yes, I'd love a change in gearing.

I seem to recall from someone's post (JST?), some kind of power upgrade by just reflashing. Don't know if it was DeMan or not. For that, I am willing to wait a bit longer.

Yeah, I was posting about the results you get from the Cobb Accessport, which seem pretty dramatic.

At the same time, you know what this car really doesn’t need? More power. It’s really got quite a lot right out of the gate. More than you can use, honestly, except in short bursts.

I can see the argument for the gears, because (rare these days) the engine *really* comes alive in the top half of the tach. But at least so far I just don’t find myself hungering for an extra 30 or 40 or even 100 hp.
