I had more miles but it was largely identical to the 2003 above. We sold it for about what we bought it for - $10k.
Just another reminder of how crazy the used car market has become due to the shortage of new vehicles. I'd say its a great time to postpone purchasing a car if at all possible. All these used cars will return to their normal depreciation curve once supply of new cars catches back up in a year or so.

Crazy that 17-18 years ago that would get you an entire low mileage E30 M3 and not just an S14.

It’s not like I would want this car and that’s not the point but this car was what $150 maybe and look at the infotainment.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...nz-sl-class-7/

I mean we can look the other way maybe for cars up to a certain price point but once you get to this level people expect recent tech even used.

I am sure Tesla handles this the best with over the air updates that make there infotainment set up’s last longer but just like phones and tablets now cars are SUPER dated so fast by tech.

The SL tends to have a really long model run. SLK/SLC also had really long run before it was cancelled. They were definitely behind on the tech front and never got updated to latest MB tech. Guess that was less of an issue with 80s and 90s models that were more analog.
