If you’re buying a random utility vehicle, I feel like a small pickup would the the thing that makes sense.

Utility in my case means moving odd shaped objects and sometimes people, and very rarely things that are best thrown in a truck bed. A wagon makes a lot of sense, I just don’t want to drive one every day unless it’s something special (and thus expensive).

Let me help you with that... The utility will be to your mechanic who will have a steady supply of work. For you, the car will bring some joy and a lot of time investment...

Two days with ours and my back is in better shape then it has been in twenty years. We went for a drive last night Jat to sit in the seats, get a massage and listen to some music. It is significantly nicer than I expected.

You officially have a great garage at this point, between the 991.2 and the E-classiness.

I used to joke that when I arrived in California after driving down in the 300SD, I felt better than when I left Seattle. There is just something about that era of seat in a Mercedes that just 'works' for me. And - as I get older - I am actually SERIOUSLY considering moving back to that brand and era for my main car. I love the BMW's I have had (two E38's for those that have seen me through the years here) - but... while I do appreciate the seats in those cars - there is absolutely NO comparison with the Mercedes S class (W126 variety anyway - I can't talk to other flavors of Mercedes).

I have even thought about a W124 wagon also. GO for it!!!!

This is undoubtedly awesome, but I'm probably not the only one that on first glance is going to mistake it for a Boxster Spyder.

Not a fan of the side decals, but otherwise awesome.

There’s an Adverturine Green 911 coming to the dealer near me...

Does that Speedster have the same top as the Boxster Spyder?

That's one of those "if there was a market for kidneys..." vars. I'd have a new scar and a Brewster green / heritage package speedster in the garage.

The top isn't as cumbersome as the old bolster spyders, but isn't nearly as nice as normal cabs
