In the 80s, one of my dad's best friends bought a 912 cheap in a condition that he thought needed just one little thing done (I forget what) to turn it into driver condition.
About three years later, he could finally drive what he had what he dumped a ton of money and mental energy into. A 912. Poor guy.

I never understood what was so special about the 50th anniversary model but also realize cars on this BAT website seem to get ridiculous money. |

The 911 market right now is frothy as hell; I think, so far, that hasn't *really* extended to the post-997 cars, since they're mostly just seen as too new to be anything other than used cars. But the special editions are an exception to that.
Even then, I'm sure the PDK was an anchor on that car's value. A similar car with a stick (did they make those?) could likely have gotten 10-20K more. None of it makes much sense. |

Honestly, it’s worth it. What a car.

Hmmm... Black/black is not among my top choices, not 100% sure on the rest of the build, probably ok... But a 997.2S, well kept for under $50k, I guess that's fair, even with 60k miles. I don't think this will last long and either this or a 991.2 (still to drive) would be my choice.

I would disagree with this, from what I am seeing the 991.1 is a desired car due to the NA engine, add the rarity of the manual and you have a pretty special car. Meanwhile the 991.2 blows it away performance wise ... If I were to buy a 991 today it would be the .2 model.

Yeah I don’t like black/black either, but that’s a solid deal on that 09.
