I simply don't enjoy cars any more. I hate driving in NJ and I think I'm beginning to dislike driving in general. Being on bicycles and motorcycles a lot can do that.

Yea, I hope they work through that as quickly as possible. A few features I like on mine that aren’t available on a 2021 right now.

The cuts on the X5 are more significant I think - no more soft-close doors, right? On an X7 M50i, it's really just losing rear seat entertainment, power sunshades, and fewer leather options I think. The 40i loses some other stuff like the fancy stereo. It stinks.

No soft close doors or cooled/heated cup holders (gimmicky, I know...). More cuts on the 40i like no B&W sound option. I think a few others I can’t remember off top of my head. Hoping it’s fairly temporary though.

Soft close doors was an option on our x5 that I thought was completely stupid when we bought it. It has grown to become one of my most favorite features on the car. There are so many times that I throw the door closed and juuusstt miss latching it. I just start to turn around and do it over when I hear the car synch itself closed and I get to walk away with a satisfied smile. On any far that offered it, I would spec it now

Same - they came on our old e70 and we found them very useful when juggling kids, etc. They are great now that we have a baby who is often sleeping in the car - we can close the doors very quietly.

Don't forget no more crystal volume knob - not sure how I'll live without that.

The cheese factor is really growing in BMWs these days, especially the higher end models.
