All interesting ideas. I've been toying with the notion of Minis as well. And there was a lightly used Buick wagon near me for quite awhile.

I'm kind of partial to the A4 wagon/allroad. Here's a 2017. I have seen them cheaper though.

Nice. My family had one of those, or its brethren. Nice roomy way-back seats. Trick headlight doors. Ours was brown though, much more understated. Colony Park?
