I'm thinking the M2 will hold its value pretty well. Especially if subsequent models go 4 cylinder...Although, that's probably less true if it's thrashed at the track.

M2?
That green is my first color choice, but there weren't many made in 16 or 17 and it's discontinued for 18. Yellow is my second choice for a 1LE (unsure about SS or t4). I don't like white cars, but I think I can make an exception for the 1LE.

Not too interested in the M2. Only pushes the yawn button...until I look at pricing which pushes the laugh button.

Only some bad hard plastics remain on parts of the doors if you get the premium interior upgrade.

I also like the exterior styling of the 2018 and the newly available options. (Magnaride on the GT esp) And 460hp is plenty for any US roads.

Buying one though means massive depreciation as soon as you drive off the lot.
I really like the 2018 Mustang as well. If I could justify a 2 door car, I think I'd buy a new GT fully optioned out. A used 991.1 would be tempting as well but that's atleast another 10k at this point. Agree on the M2 just not being that interesting (despite looking good spec-wise).

But it is a big car for having so little interior space. That's why my current object of desire is any 2015+ SRT powered Charger. Interior and build quality aren't as good, but the great sound makes up for it and you can get them with every creature comfort (cooled seats, adaptive cruise, carplay etc).

I've always been a Mustang guy, and I wanted to like the current Mustang more than I do. It's a lot of fun, but it feels big and ponderous and heavy in a way that's fairly unappealing. There's a lot of hood in front of you, the windows are kind of narrow and claustrophobic, and the suspension tuning (while better than previous Mustangs) is still nowhere near where it should be. Maybe Magneride changes that last piece?

In any event, I can only think the Camaro would be even worse.

I like the yellow.

The yellow and black color scheme is one of my favorites.

I did not know the 2018 Mustang was different, hmm... it seems pretty promising too. They are all just a bit too big for me though.

New Supra?

I did some dimension comparisons today. The sixth gen mustangs and camaros are both 188.3" long. The Mustang is nearly an inch wider. The comparisons I did were against the FoST, RX-8, C4, C5, 986, 987, 997, NA, ND, and the F10 535i (because of equ's comment earlier today).

He F10 is a little longer than the 6g ponies and then it's a substantial step down to the next tier where most are grouped from about 170-175. And then it's on to the Miatas at 154" and 155" (ND is smaller). The Mustang is the widest (w/o mirrors) at almost 76" and the NA narrowest at 65.9" while most were about 72"

The 6th gen pony cars are big for what they are, but they're only a few inches larger than the cars that are holy grails. It's real, no doubt, but the lowish, rearward seati position and the tight interiors are probably making me feel a lot bigger than they are.

The big deal for me with the 18 Mustang is where second gear will top out. It's supposed to be much better, but the ratios still haven't been published.

Dude, Toyota. I did think about SSC for about 5 minutes before remembering "Toyota" and getting back to Camaros. No offense.

But the new supra is a shared platform with BMW, no?

yeah, well, I'm not sure if that is a plus or a minus
