Hey, whaddya know? A normal trunk!
Is BMW's exercise in ugliness coming to an end? I think it looks pretty good! |

I'm not going to go so far as to say it's attractive, but it's not problematically ugly - kind of like the E90.
I could see myself getting one of those two leases from now. |

Small side windows, huge slab sides and twenty inch wheels seems to be the design language of the future.

I wouldn't call those "slab sides" though. They have quite a bit of shape to my eye, but the overall look is clean and devoid of whimsy for the sake of being unique. |

The OP's right though, these are P-shops so we don't yet know what it'll really look like - it is clean and it does fit in with the new X5's design language - so perhaps it's pretty close to what it will look like. Ed |

I understand now. Yep, I hate the fact that most new cars have such lofty cowl heights. The 350Z / G35 platform was one of the earlierst and worst offenders. The 300C / Magnum / Charger is another really bad one. All in the name of safety, it seems. Sucky.

The IS had a high cowl, and made for some very nasty blind spots. Even with my head cranked to the right to see over that shoulder, I'd still completely miss cars coasting in the blind spot.
