lemon fords 6litre 2003-2004

I was wondering if any one knows any body that has or owned 2003or2004 ford 6litre diesel what prolems they have with this engine. As i had mine go with only 164000 km or 104000 miles. After this happened i found out this engine has had problems since it was 12day old most to do with lake of power and injectors it has 3 full sets of injectors.in 3years ???

They can be... or they can be ok.

My 2003.5 PSD has about 50,000 miles on it and it works flawlessly.
I do know of others though that have had issues.

There are a couple of forums that deal with Ford trucks that you may want to look at.
(I don't have them handy now but I can get them if you want to know where they are...)

I had no major problems with my 2006 6.0 and have had no issues with my 2007.

IMHO the problems start with operators who don't know how to tell if their EGR valve is functioning properly. International (who makes this motor) has had a lot of problems with this valve, and people who keep running the truck when valve is bad (truck belches white smoke when warming up, or blacker smoke under hard acceleration when warmed up) tend to blow them up.

Then they blame Ford on the internet

My 2006 went thru 2 EGR valves, and my 2007 is begining to show signs that it's EGR is going bad
