BMW U.S. factory expansion

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/29/bu...a-factory.html

It's cool they are expanding the U.S. plant, but yet another sign that the BMW of earlier car generations seems to be gone. A huge plant expansion . . . for SUVs. *sigh*

The upside as an SUV buyer is BMW does make good "driving" trucks.

Cool. That's great news for the economy around there.

Many expansions have been completed at the plant in Greer since it's opening. I highly suspect more will come as the amount of real estate BMW purchased there is massive.

I think it's cool that they build here and I think it's cool that they are expanding. I just don't want to buy a BMW suv. On the other hand, I hear the X5 has a third row option again. Maybe it will be in the running in a couple of years for the wife.
