GM cars winning SCCA racing (stuka sucks....)
looks like the CTS-V and the corvettes prove that GM can do more than win at NASCAR.
http://www.autoweek.com/article.cms?articleId=100970 for the record, the next time someone asks me what i think a sports car is, it's the car that dominates the T1 class right now. and my idea of a GT that i would buy? the CTS-V. the car that seemed to hold its own in the T2 class with a lot of other "sports cars".

for the record: the T1 class winner? John Heinricy? The lead development engineer for the C5 and C6 dynamics.
you know. the one who ran the c5z06 on the nurburgring under 8 minutes. just for "poseur" purposes. it wouldn't have anything to do with trying to meet a worldwide metric and then meeting/beating it.

But the Corvette is so "low tech." If only it had a 2.5L engine, then it would be worthy of praise.

i also would like to recognize that BMWs do just fine at Speed World Challenge racing and in the grand am racing.
i think they would just do better if they took some arrogance and snobbery out of their approach and see how porsche excels. porsche engines are not about the most technological advances, they are about displacement and durability. technology, in porsche's corporate mindset, is secondary to power and endurance.
