I think the earliest a new model year can begin within the U.S. is February, unless this has changed? Anyways… just thinking out loud, but Porsche could introduce the manuals for MY26 beginning in February or March 2025. It is suspected that the .2 S is not coming to the U.S. until Q1 2025 anyways. This could potentially be when we see S models with a manual.

Whether or not they equip the C2S with a manual is my key question now. I’m still thinking “no”.

Guess we will find out soon enough.

It certainly would be beneficial to those of us with a 992.1 C2S manual.

Yes, you basically cannot have two Januaries in your production year, so Feb 2025 is the earliest possible date for 2026s.

§ 85.2302 Definition of model year.
Model year means the manufacturer's annual production period (as determined under § 85.2304) which includes January 1 of such calendar year, provided, that if the manufacturer has no annual production period, the term “model year” shall mean the calendar year

My opinion is still manual option will be available only for T, GT3 and the poor man’s 992 Sport Classic.

Yes. They could just re bundle the 992.1 GTS parts and slap them onto the Carrera S. But I suspect because of the enhanced emissions scrutiny, they keep the Carrera S as a detuned GTS.

Same reason manuals will be in such limited numbers —to not affect emissions adversely.

One of the top Porsche Brand Ambassadors in the country, if not the top has stated “no more stick.”

Thanks Sean for posting the links, I haven’t been keeping track of the release date but I look forward to getting a call to placing an order for the S model … as long as black or white is offered with a black interior I’m happy … looks like they updated the look of the Carrera S wheels and with the high gloss black, they look really awesome !!

I just saw his post on instagram and it was commenting on an article that said “no manuals for 2025”… still feels like they are building anticipation and some panic so they can put an extra $$ premium on the 2026 models that will have manual available
