The only time the fans on either of my 911s have come on is during/after a spirted run. Rarely ever have the BMWs come on, turbo or NA. Edit: This includes the M62 in the E39 540 which is known to run exceptionally hot at a normal operating temperature of 230°F.

My home office is in the garage. And working in the garage after one of the cars is parked —it gets very, very warm. So that got me to thinking, there must be so much heat soak in the car.

That triggered me to do my best to try to get temps down as much as possible because that can’t be good for plastics and electronics to sit in that heat sink when the car is sitting there.

Yes, same with the X7.

How does the fan running after engine shutdown not kill the battery?

Is this why German batteries need to be replaced every 3 years?

I don't know the answer but when the C8 is driven hard the fans hit very hard parked in my garage for a few minutes after it's shut off, my M550 does open the front grill vents and you hear the fans but nothing like the C8

Btw—

My dealer had 10 allocations for 992.2’s? Something like that. All gone. And all well over MSRP, I would guess.

I did not even bother to inquire with my dealer when I spoke to my brand ambassador yesterday at length as I am uninterested in a .2 C2 base car or GTS. Plus the .2 does absolutely nothing for me.

I absolutely love the look of the speedster. Not a fan of the decals or the two-tone external paint on this one but the speedster would be my first purchase after a lottery win.
