The hip point/ease of entry thing is real, though it doesn’t explain all the youngs buying them.
I haven’t driven a Taos, but I’ve driven a current Gen Escape quite a bit and it’s kind of funny how much less room it has for people. More space for tall cargo, sure, and can fit bikes better. But I think the Jetta has more overall room for passengers.
