The 18 Mustang has a lot of appeal to me, too. Except the cost.

The 1LE I just linked is a fantastic price, but I've seen a couple other sub $40k used 1LEs in the past couple months. This is the first '18, though.

I'm planning on:

Dixie Tour (don't think I'll ever miss this one again, might have been my favorite event all year)
NJ Pro
Toledo Pro
Oscoda Pro
Finale / Nats

The "maybe" list includes Bristol, Spring Nats (both) and the Toledo Tour.
Need codriver?

You mean what's going to pay for my wife's new car next summer? Plus, I figure the FoST is worth about $12 as a trade. The XK8, $8 and the Miata, maybe $2.

A turbo Camaro can be had for what now, $15-20k?
Taking care of the house is always a good call. The national schedule looks pretty fantastic for anyone living in the mid Atlantic and its spread out from March to September. I think one year we did four national events over five consecutive weekends in the spring/early summer and then nothing until Nationals.

On paper, the 1LS is the right car. The 1LT add weight and stuff. Not sure how much, though. The problem with used 1LSs is there aren't very many of them. I wouldn't want to pay more than about $16k for a 2016 1LS, but would go as much as $17k this weekend just to get it done if my wife said "ok" in a "i really mean it's ok" kind of way and not in a "do whatever the fuck you want, but don't expect me to be happy about it" kind of way. But that's not going to happen this weekend so I should stop thinking that it could.
