That written, moving from an MX5 of the same vintage to a 987 is a no brainer, IMO.
Don’t know what to say about the need for a low profile everyday car. Maybe after you’re bored with the M3 you find something that suits that bill.

The low-profile car is not for me. It would be for my wife and for certain situations. Primarily, it’s the need for winter beater/small city car duties.
