Beautiful. Were the silver colored rocker panels standard on all M5 tourings? Or was that a special option? Also the exhaust looks like its hanging too low. As much as I love the looks and interior, I think I'm also content to admire from afar. Cars like this (15 year old+ former uber-sedans and uber-wagons) are a bit of an odd duck though. They were meant to be fun, luxurious daily drivers/family haulers. But, it's unlikely anyone is going to want to daily a 25 year old car like this. There are newer options even if you want a (relatively) high powered German wagon that are going to perform better and have more modern safety and convenience features. E39 540 touring, several gens of E class AMGs, etc. Or if you want speficially want a manual bmw wagon, maybe try looking for an e91 manual (probably has roughly similar performance). Overall the running costs are likely to be similar (read: high) so you might as well get a newer one. Given that its being offered by EAG I bet the asking price is high too. It's also a bit too big/heavy/isolated to make a case for itself as a weekend car. It'd make a good conversation piece / BMWCCA club meet or cars & coffee car, but beyond that it's hard to see how it fits into someones life or collection. I guess if you had every M car ever made and this would complete your collection or something. Despite the rarity, I'm also skeptical as to whether it will appreciate in value (if that's the angle).
