here I said it was either the GM or the I-bus. Having an I-bus protocol analyzer comes in very handy, particularly when troubleshooting bizarre I-bus problems with non-BMW add-ons present.
And yes, I can top yours - my stereo would reset, but
only when approaching Cincinnati from the west.
The problem is that the StealthOne V1/NAV screen integration sends messages very rapidly (doesn't rate-limit them) when the V1 status changes, and the Blitzsafe adapter for the Phatbox (the Phatbox is an Alpine M-bus - old BMW style - changer interface) just goes out to lunch and reboots when it sees constant bus traffic. That was one of a few things that was odd with the StealthOne - at one point I was driving around Boston with both StealthOne guys in my trunk with notebook PCs doing bus protocol analysis. Good thing I have a wagon.
