In all, it came out ok for what it is. At least those few nasty drip--like spots of etched paint mostly buffed out. Also, Mazda's touch up stick is as good as I've had for delivering the right amount of paint on a stone chip.

Turns out a few stone chips on the front quarter panels and windshield frame were showing rust, so they were sanded, treated with rust reformer, and then painted.
