I'm genuinely surprised that I never had to do a window regulator on my red 330Ci. That car had an, um, interesting life before and during my ownership, all in fewer than 9,000 miles. Pretty much everything on it broke, but never a window regulator.

My parents bought a 1973 Mazda RX-3 Sport Wagon (only year sold in the US, I think) new and drove it for about three years. Two or three years after selling it, they got a letter from Mazda offering to reimburse them for all engine repairs because early rotaries made the RX-8 Renesis look amazingly durable. Everything on the car had broken and needed fixing at least twice. Except for the engine.
