I test drove the S a few times before getting the turbo. I'm generally fine with a smaller engine, but specifically on that car, the Macan, the S seemed to make its power with revs whereas the turbo had oomph from the get go. The other options could have been equated...
I didn't think the PDK 7-speed had a major advantage over a well-tuned ZF 8-speed in daily driving. E.g. the 8-speed worked perfectly in the Jeep diesel I had, I miss that machine more than the macan for sure. Better space and better daily powertrain (for me), but awful handling so I can't go there again.
