The trip there and back, kind of sucked. We didn't get on the road to Akron until almost 11am. Drove straight there, arrived at the dealership around 4. Did the paperwork and were back on the road by 6ish. Set the cruise control on the PA turnpike to 79mph. Stopped for a quick dinner and got home around mid-night.

Today my wife took over driving all sorts of back roads and we had a blast.

I've been really impressed with how much of a 'car' it is. It was a really comfortable GT on the turnpike for 370 miles. It is a blast to carve up back roads, but it is just as pleasant doing it at 45 as it is at 85. It is so not dramatic, just excellent at everything it does. The engine is so much more flexible than the 981s we rented for a week. It is happy tooling around at 2500 rpm, starting off smoothing in 2nd gear, we got 27mpg sitting in 7th gear the whole way home. Visibility is decent, storage is great. Features are very intuitive and user friendly.

thanks all for the positive reinforcements. It honestly helped push me over the edge.
