Hello, everyone. Finally a chance for brief update. Currently in Lexington, per the plan. Tomorrow we head to Arlington. My guess is that we will be there around 2PM.

I want to give a proper update when I get back, so I'll just dump some thoughts.

- PEC Delivery was excellent. Frankly, $500 is a bargain. The lunch alone was worth >$200 and worth it. Top 3 meal in my life. Easily >$100 worth of swag too. Free breakfast and drinks all day as long as you go to the cafe with your "I'm picking up a new car" badge.
- Track time was great. Drove a yellow PDK BGTS. Holy crap the car is fast. Cool learnings on dry & wet skid pads. very, very cool. Guy told me I can text him whenever I'm in town for other demo laps, etc. He gave a personal tour of the exhibits, lot's of cool inside stories, execs' cars, talk about tracking different cars, etc.
- MY BGTS is awesome. Love the color, the specs, etc. Took me 3 hours to apply 120' of 6" tracwrap. LOL Towards the end I was in a bit of a "screw this, I need to go" so the work suffered. That said, happy with how it works and that I did it. It looks a bit goofy though. I don't care.
- Driving the car is awesome but frustrating, particularly in the hwy, given the short gearing at the top end and the 4krpm limit. That said, of the 750 miles on it so far, ~500 were excellent winding roads with lots of varying rpms, so the car couldn't have asked for a better break in.
- The mountain roads were excellent. We were blessed with good weather and hardly any traffic.
- The Dragon, the Smokey Mtn loop, and BRD west and east of Asheville were spectacular and super fun to drive. I underestimated how pretty the mountain views would be along the drive. Beautiful.
- I don't care for the ebrake.
- Steering is not quite 987-level, but pretty damn good.
- I don't mind the fake engine noise when it comes in.
- Love having all the nice modern tech
- Love my CF shifter
- Ride is quite good, but tire noise is bad
- GoPro'ed the Dragon run. We'll see how that comes out. I am not a hooligan, so I did not go fast.
- Holy crap - all back roads in northwest NC are 55mph! People haul ass at over 60mph where in MA it would be a 35mphlimit, tops. Unreal. I-81 was crazy too. 70mph and everyone goes 85 it seems, including semis doing 80.
-Damn NC and the way the blend intersecting roads at very different elevations causing scraping. I scraped something twice, but there is nothing visible or to the touch even reaching underneath. Must be way in there. I'll check on the lift. I cannot imagine living with a Spyder and the 10mm lower suspension with a lip sticking out even farther. Screw that. Same goes for the roof. Must have raised and lowered on the move 10 times.
-Car is amazing and I am thrilled. Looking forward to getting it home.
-I look forward to post break-in, but it was tremendous to drive a broken in car all-out.
