Would make more sense (to me) if they'd let the driver turn rev-matching on/off as desired. There may be a valid reason for it (?), but making it non-selectable and strictly mode-specific sounds a lot like they don't trust you to make your own decisions. That's a poor user experience.
What happens when you're in one of the modes where it's turned on, and you attempt to rev-match on your own? Does your right foot override the computer?
