Though that is another story, I taught my kids when following someone the person in front puts the blinker on and when it's safe the person in back gets into the lane first so that the front car can then move in safely.

During our years of RV travel with a "chase" car, Jutta was fantastic at making holes for me to change lanes with the RV.

She did have a habit of sometimes following me too closely . . .when we got rid of our 2008 Rabbit, there were about 200+ rock chips in the paint
