Dunno. Each of the past three years, I've seen at least FB posts by at least three (different each year) complaining with pics.
I kinda get the feeling it's a combination of not knowing to add some dust, lint, dirt, etc to prevent them from sticking too well, sometimes being removed with less than great care, and occasional batches of abnormally strong adhesive.
It's usually specific to one of the stickers each year...Wire wheel, champ tour, or pro solo.
