They all have a need for speed. It's scary. But, Josh, sounds like you handled it well. Losing access to the car seems to be the best punishment. My son has already lost privileges a few times.

It's a graduated license here, so they can only have one other non-family member passenger until they have a year under their belts.

Most parents look other way, but we busted our kid for hauling extra friends around--most seriously when he tired to schlep them on a four-hour highway trip to a friend's weekend house. Um, nope!

Coincidently, the law is called Joshua's Law. For a kid who died on Georgia roads shortly after getting his license. Sigh.
