I think the roadsters work well for long-term ownership if they are 2nd/3rd cars. Tougher as a primary car. My parents have had their Z4 for 9 years now and probably do 1-2k miles per summer. I can see them keeping it for a while. At some point I might encourage them to consolidate to 2 cars once they fully retire, but it’s basically fully depreciated so no rush. Plus might be worth taking it over myself at that point if it’s cheap enough (Z4 3.0si 6MT)
