I had the CTS before the Boxster for a couple weeks past 2 years. That car was a mistake. I loved the styling, hated the driver’s seat and fat pig mass.

The longest I’ve had any car was the Model S at just over 5.25 years. I also put ~50k more miles than on any prior car...
I’m worrying about the 2 being my only car post divorce. Particularly with shared custody of two dogs. I’m not keen on insuring and maintaining two cars, so the 2 is vulnerable in my mind. But I would be quite sad to let it go, and even sadder to drive some SUV thing full time. Perseverator thread to follow...

On the subject of longest-held cars: my Honda Accord hatchback takes the prize at 9 years. The E71 X5 was 7 years. The 2003 325xIT was passed around the family for 8 or 9 years.

Re FC’s Land Rover. That seems like a car you could keep going for 20 years...
