Could you find a 987 (.1, or .2 and/or s) cost effectively enough you could keep the m5 and have both?
I'd think if you only drove the m5 a couple thousand miles a year, it would appreciate from where it is now for you.
The 987 should hold its value quite well too. Last 'real steering', 'real engine' boxster. It would give you a 'vert for the nice days, and the m5 when you want more grunt or to take more than one other person somewhere.
