The Edge Sport started about where the 1SS 1LE starts. The ST is going to be more.
It just boggles my mind how much car the turbo 4 is for the money (albeit low rent GM). And I can swap it for a 1LE in a year or two if I want to stick with the platform at a lower overall long term cost (I expect a lot more depreciation on the 1LE than the turbo 4). Plus, getting out of the turbo 4 early should be a pretty small hit compared to the 1LE if I quickly realize the Camaro isn't a good fit daily.
If I was buying with a five year commitment, I wouldn't consider the turbo 4. As a 1-2 year ultra low risk bridge to something else with a limited penalty early escape option? Yes, still rationalization.
