Example: I know a couple that rent the bottom part of a two story Victorian in SF. A couple just moved in to the three bedroom upstairs part. Both work for google but the monthly RENT not mortgage is $8200 a month. WTF.
If I didn't buy my place in 2000, when I was single, not sure I would want to afford where it's at now. I might have moved already. If I ever sell I'm leaving and not coming back.
