There should be a law mandating that emergency brakes be implemented with an integral drum rather than piggybacking on the rear caliper.
Could be worse I guess, on newer VWs with the electric e-brake, you need fucking SOFTWARE and a goddamned LAPTOP to retract the rear brake pistons.
